ALP National President 2011 Election
The National President and 2 National Vice-Presidents must be directly elected from and by Party members in the 12 months before each triennial National Conference in a single ballot by proportional representation with affirmative action in accordance with rule 10 (ALP Constitution).
Nominations have now closed for the three positions, and the election timetable and candidate statements (6) can be found below.
Timetable
Monday 17 October: Voting open; ballot papers and candidate statements issued by post to eligible Party members.
Friday 18 November: Voting closes; last day for ballot papers to be received by the National Returning Officer.
Friday 2 December: The National President takes office at the start of the 2011 ALP National Conference.
