The Australian Labor Party will be meeting for the 46th National Conference in early December to shape a new National Platform and to consider important reforms to our Party.
We have now released the draft National Platform for delegates to consider and debate in December. The National Platform reflects Labor’s long held values while also providing a modern basis for Labor policy in government.
The Gillard Labor Government is working hard to build a strong economy and a fair society that provides every Australian with the opportunity to prosper and succeed in life.
As a Government we are taking action on the big challenges facing our nation. Like introducing an emissions trading scheme to tackle climate change, investing in a national broadband network and making sure our kids have access to high-quality education and the skills they need to succeed.
Labor believes our nation’s best days are in front of it. That is why it is more important than ever that we have a National Platform that is reflective of our values and our vision.
Delegates will also consider the recommendations of the 2010 ALP National Review.
