Candidate for Fisher
Bill and his wife Anna settled on the Sunshine Coast in 2011 after a four year assignment in Houston, Texas. Bill is an engineer.
Bill has a Bachelor of Metallurgy and has held senior management positions with BHP, CSR and AE Smith. Bill brings real world experience garnered through years of working in the steel and timber industries as an engineer and manager. He also has an impressive career as an equity partner in a successful global consulting business. Living and working in diverse locations around the world has equipped Bill with the insight and drive to get things moving in Fisher.
Bill is active in the local community and has been part of fundraising groups for charities assisting children with cancer. Bill believes in quality health care and is also chairman of the Sunshine Coast University Hospital Community coalition, which successfully fought for the retention of the hospital in public hands.
Bill's passion for equality of opportunity has shaped his vision for Fisher and Australia. Education, sustainable projects and protection for the most vulnerable are the basis of his plan for Fisher.
Bill sees the future in Fisher as being inextricably linked with the University of the Sunshine Coast.
