Diedree has lived in the Sutherland Shire with her husband and two children for over 30 years. She is a Sutherland Shire high school teacher with more than 25 years' experience.
Diedree is passionate about needs-based education funding and Labor's Your Child. Our Future plan.
Diedree has been actively involved in numerous community groups and was elected to Sutherland Shire Council in 2013. She works consistently for her community and the provision of quality services for residents. Diedree has worked hard as a local councillor to achieve sustainable development for her area, including the provision of essential infrastructure. Traffic issues, including the urgent funding of the heavily used Heathcote Road, are high on her list of priorities, even if it means that she has to agitate State and local entities.
Diedree will fight any attacks on Medicare and penalty rates. The cuts to the CSIRO and research funding are hard to fathom and something she believes are worth fighting to restore immediately. Diedree knows the importance of renewable energy, the vital National Disability and Insurance Scheme and high speed internet provision.
Diedree is a caring and passionate individual who will work tirelessly for her electorate.
