Candidate for Tangney

Marion Boswell has taught at TAFE and various secondary schools in the Perth metro area for 18 years, teaching business, marketing, accounting, maths and English. Marion has an honours degree in business marketing from Paisley University in Scotland, and a postgraduate diploma in secondary education from Curtin University.

Marion was previously head of the Department of Community Learning at James Watt College in Greenock, Scotland. In these roles she developed a deep understanding of how education policy at a national level affects teachers and disadvantaged students in the classroom.

Marion previously ran her own successful business and was later involved with both the Year of Engineering and The Tall Ships Race in Greenock.

Marion was involved in Western Australian Little Athletics, at both club and centre level, for more than 10 years. She served as president of Southern Districts Little Athletics Centre for three years and was co-founder of the Ranford Little Athletics Club with her husband and daughter. The club, now in its 11th year, continues to flourish.

Marion is married to Dr. Brian Boswell, a university lecturer, and has three children working and studying in Perth.
