Biography

After school in Mt Gambier and Adelaide, South Australia, Annette completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Adelaide. She worked mainly in a hospital based pathology service before moving into administrative areas in the arts, merchant banking and mining related services.

Annette was a Member of the South Australian Parliament 1993 to 2002, She became a Shadow Minister in 1994 and Deputy Leader of the Opposition in 1997. She is a member of the South Australian ALP State Executive and the ALP National Executive.

Annette was elected to the Senate in October 2004.
