Biography
Tony has lived in the north-eastern suburbs of Adelaide since early childhood, attending Pooraka Primary School and Enfield High School.
He began full-time work in 1969 at various branches of the ANZ Bank and in 1976 became a research officer to Senator Jim Cavanagh. Since 1981, Tony has part-owned and operated a local fitness centre. He is also an Australian power lifting champion and an accredited fitness and weight training instructor.
Tony has been involved in Local Government since being elected to Salisbury City Council in 1977. He has served on many different boards, committees and community organisations. In 1997 Tony was elected Mayor of Salisbury. Under his leadership, the City of Salisbury has become a world leader in environmental and water management.
Tony lives in Pooraka with his wife Vicki and three children.
