Candidate for Fairfax
Scott has lived on the Sunshine Coast for most of his life and feels a strong connection with the area. Scott has spent most of his career serving the public in retail and hospitality before recently making a career change to the IT industry.
Scott moved to the Sunshine Coast when he was six years old where he was raised by his mother along with his two brothers. He attended Buderim and Mountain Creek State School and Mountain Creek State High School. He lives in Nambour.
He understands the struggle of trying to find permanent and meaningful employment on the Sunshine Coast, and he currently commutes to work in Brisbane every day.
Scott is the father of two young boys, aged four and two. Both boys have spent most of their lives in and out of hospital and the Anderson family have experienced firsthand the uncertainty and stress that can be caused by cuts to local health services.
Scott’s two young boys are his primary motivation to stand as a candidate for the seat of Fairfax. He is passionate about seeing the region grow and prosper so that his boys and others will have every opportunity to thrive locally. Scott is committed to providing the Sunshine Coast with effective representation, something that has been sadly lacking for decades and in particular over the last three years.
