Help us fight for our Schools
This Government’s Budgets have only ever done one thing — rip funding out of schools, and Mr Turnbull's budget is no different.
Despite the Liberals’ promises at the last election to match Labor’s school funding “dollar for dollar”, Mr Turnbull will cut $29 billion from Australian classrooms over the next decade.
Labor believes that investment in education is a key driver of a country’s economic growth. That’s why we’ll put $3.5 billion more into classrooms than Mr Turnbull in 2018 and 2019 alone. This is part of our plan to make sure every child in every school gets the support they deserve.
We can’t make this plan happen without you though. Our campaign to make the biggest investment in education in two generations is powered entirely by people like you who share our passion for education. With the Liberals gearing up to take billions out, we need to make sure parents understand the clear choice at this election. Can you contribute to our campaign fighting fund for education and help us put advertising in key marginal seats across the country for education?
The Liberals are backed by the big end of town and will pump millions into every marginal seat so they can keep cutting health funding. Last time they outspent us three to one. In stark contrast, we’re powered by people just like you. Already over 20,000 Australians have donated an average of $33 to Labor’s campaign to help elect a Shorten Labor Government and stop these cuts.
I don’t know any parent who doesn’t want Australian schools to be the best in the world. So that’s why I just don’t understand how Mr Turnbull could cut billions from our schools — but that’s what he’s done in this Budget and now we need your help to stop him.
