Voting for ALP President and two Vice-Presidents is now open. Online voters should have received their secure, online voting link by no later than COB 4 May. If you haven’t received an email with a unique link by this date, please contact us.
Postal ballots have been mailed from Canberra on 4 May and should arrive with households in the days following subject to Australia Post delivery times. If you have not received your ballot pack by 31 May, please contact us.
If you’d like to switch from being an online to an offline voter or vice versa, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name, address, and member number.
If you are unsure of your member number, you should get in touch with your State Branch.
How to vote online:
To vote online, you’ll need to click on the unique link sent to you by the ALP National Returning Officer. You’ll then be taken to the online voting portal where you will need to enter your last name, membership number, and state (in abbreviated form) in order to access your online ballot.
You will need to number at least one candidate in order for your vote to be valid.
Online votes need to be completed by COB 15 June AEST.
How to vote via postal ballot:
Your postal pack will contain a candidate statements booklet, a ballot paper, a ballot paper envelope, and a reply-paid envelope.
To vote, you will need to number at least one candidate on your ballot paper. The ballot paper will then need to be placed in the ballot paper envelope.
Make sure the declaration slip at the back of the ballot paper envelope has been signed before placing it the reply-paid envelope and sending it back to the National Secretariat.
Postal ballots will need to be received by COB 15 June AEST.
