Aruna Chandrala is a community advocate living in Strathfield with her husband. Aruna migrated from India more than 30 years ago and raised two children in Sydney.
She is a founding member of, and has been president of, the Telugu Pallugu Association for many years, and worked as the president of the United Indian Association. She voluntarily works for and chairs several community, cultural, immigrant, women, temple and subcontinental associations.
Aruna is passionate about an inclusive society that welcomes first generation migrants and gives everyone a fair go. She believes in better public education, universal health care and socially responsible environmental protection for the benefit of future generations.
