Bill Lodwick, Labor’s candidate for Nicholls, believes it's time that Australia got a fair go.
An experienced local advocate, Bill was elected as a councillor for Mitchell Shire while living with his family on a property at Tyaak near Broadford. He was also on the Broadford Primary School Council and is a strong supporter of more funding and support for regional schools. He has a long record of volunteering in his local and professional communities.
Bill firmly supports Labor policies delivering education, job opportunities, health care, cheaper energy and safer communities. He knows that rural and regional areas are constantly challenged to match the health care outcomes seen in our cities – an issue he has experienced first-hand. He will push to get more funding for diagnosis, treatment and emergency life-saving services.
Bill has enjoyed a career as a professional in geosciences and management. He has employed his expertise at Puckapunyal as the Director of the Army Simulation Office, in Melbourne (commuting on the V/line train) and around the world. He is the author of numerous scientific papers and a public speaker. A proud country Victorian, he wants to share his knowledge, energy and skills for the benefit of the people of Nicholls.
Bill looks forward to hearing from you during the upcoming 2019 federal election campaign. He will travel extensively around Nicholls meeting people, listening and making sure that Labor policies continue to work for country people. Labor policies will deliver more benefits to the workers, families and communities of Nicholls.
