Joshua Sinclair, Labor’s candidate for Flinders, is an active Mornington Peninsula resident and loves everything about what his community has to offer. Having lived on the Mornington Peninsula his entire life, he knows that locals who call this beautiful part of the world home are passionate about their community. This community is defined by the people that live in it, and the landscapes that make the Peninsula so unique.
Joshua went to school at Peninsula Grammar in Mount Eliza before studying Arts (Honours) at Monash University. He graduated in 2014 and had a number of positions, including most recently in a communications and community role at a children’s disability organisation for nearly two years. In this role he was involved in the day-to-day operations of the organisation, operating in a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) environment and working hard to ensure that parents could receive good quality therapy and support services they needed for their families.
His greatest passion is his local soccer club which Josh founded and still runs on the Mornington Peninsula. With nearly 100 members and players involved – from ages 6 and up – the soccer club is community driven and has developed a great culture since starting up in 2012.
Josh will fight for more funding for our schools, more funding for health and mental health services, and more funding for jobs, skills, and training. Josh will also fight hard to protect the environment and the green wedge here on the Peninsula - working with communities, locals, council and the State government to achieve outcomes we can all be proud of.
