Judene brings a wealth of real-life experience. She grew up in a working-class family - her dad was a motor mechanic and her mum worked in a factory. She, herself, joined the workforce at 15, supporting people with disabilities in accessing affordable transport.
Judene has worked in the community sector for over 25 years and has first-hand experience of advocating for disadvantaged and vulnerable people, giving her a strong sense of social justice.
Judene is passionate about the environment, gained from her experience as the sustainability manager for the largest health and community service provider in Queensland. She understands the impact climate change has on the health of our people and planet.
Living on the Sunshine Coast Judene is well aware of the worsening effects of climate change, and the consequences a decade of policy failure by the LNP government has had. The Sunshine Coast community wants action on climate change and a serious plan to make it happen. Queensland can be a world leader in renewable energy, and we owe it to our future generations to act now.
Judene is fighting to ensure the people of Fisher have a decent representative in Canberra who is ready to take responsibility for the decisions that impact our community. It’s time for a change in Fisher so we can change the Government.
