Simon Curtis, Labor’s candidate for La Trobe, is a father of four and a local teacher. As a strong advocate for education in all three sectors, Public, Independent and Catholic, Simon will fight for a better deal for all children and their families.
Simon is a Senior School teacher of Commerce at Beaconhills College, is a former student of St Francis Xavier College, and his children were also educated at our local Government schools. Simon firmly believes that all young people should have access to the best quality education, and has dedicated his life to this pursuit.
Simon is a lifelong local, whose family have lived in the Casey-Cardinia region since 1856. He and his family have seen the population grow enormously. As a Councillor in the City of Casey, Simon delivered important outcomes, which balanced growth and community needs.
Simon is the past President of the Berwick Football Club and knows that strong community organisations are essential for building a sense of belonging in our local community.
Simon will always be a strong voice in Federal Parliament for our community, and ensure we get the infrastructure La Trobe needs.
