Candidate for Curtin
Tony Walker, Labor’s candidate for Curtin, is an Economics Teacher and Sports Manager in a busy school. He has taught in both the private and public education sectors, and has been a tutor in business and economics at Notre Dame.
Tony has also worked in senior management positions, serving as the President of the Independent Teachers Association and on the Board of the Teachers College. From the classroom to the boardroom, Tony knows how investment in education can transform our students’ lives.
Before becoming a teacher, Tony served as a Police Officer. In both roles, Tony’s priority has been serving our community.
As an electoral and policy staff member to Senator Bishop, Tony developed a deep understanding of the machinery of Government and public policy. Now, Tony wants to use this knowledge to advocate for education and law enforcement.
