Carol has been active in the local community and has dedicated her time as a volunteer for local P&Cs, committees and sporting clubs. She’s managed many soccer teams, helped set up women’s soccer teams, been a netball coach and worked on many sausage sizzles, canteens and cake stalls.

Prior to her election to Parliament in 2025, Carol was the CEO of The Disability Trust, which is one of the largest providers of disability services in Australia, with its head offices based in the Illawarra.

Carol was previously the CEO of the Illawarra Women’s Health Centre in Warilla, and also worked as a lawyer for the Public Interest Advocacy Centre. Carol’s first case was representing the Aboriginal Tent Embassy at Sandon Point in their effort to have Sandon Point recognized as an ancient burial ground.
