David Smith is the Federal Member for the seat of Bean, proudly representing the southern part of the Australian Capital Territory and Norfolk Island.

David has served in the Federal Parliament since May 2018 and is committed to continuing to represent the people of Bean.

In the Parliament David serves on the Parliamentary Committee on Public Works as well as the Joint Standing Committee on the National Capital and External Territories.

He has lived in the Bean electorate life most of his life, and along with his wife and three children is passionate about the environment and bushwalking.

David is a firm believer in the value of community and public service and wants to ensure greater fairness in education and health services and workplace rights for all across Bean. He believes an anti-corruption commission is integral to rebuilding trust and integrity in government.
