Candidate for Lyons

Assistant Minister for Health and Aged Care
Assistant Minister for Indigenous Health
Assistant Minister for Women

Growing up on a farm in Nugent, Rebecca White learned the values of hard work, community spirit, and resilience from an early age.  Today, as a mum of two, she lives on a small acreage in Richmond, driven by her passion for creating a better future for all Tasmanian kids.

When Rebecca White believes in something, she doesn’t give up. That’s why she keeps fighting for what our community needs most—affordable and accessible health care, secure and well-paid jobs and cost of living relief.

Rebecca will always ensure regional communities are well represented and supported and is committed to growing Tasmania’s reputation as a great place to work, to visit and to live. That’s why she worked hard with local communities to secure funding for important projects including:

  • The Bridgewater Medicare Urgent Care Clinic
  • The Midlands Multi-Purpose Health Centre
  • The Greater South East Irrigation Scheme

She is committed to fairness, even when the path is challenging, because hard work is what gets results. As your Federal Labor Member for Lyons, Rebecca White will take that same determination to Canberra, working tirelessly as part of the Albanese Labor Government to deliver for our community.
