Patrick Gorman is a local dad who lives in Mount Lawley with his wife Jess and their 7-month-old son Leo.
Patrick was born and raised in WA, and has lived in the electorate of Perth since 2015.
As a local parent, Patrick is passionate about reversing funding cuts to our local schools, protecting Medicare, and funding WAs hospitals.
Patrick’s wife works in the resources sector and his parents are both teachers working here in WA.
His passion for public policy led him to work in senior roles with Kevin Rudd as Foreign Minister and Prime Minister.
Later Patrick was the State Secretary of the Labor Party, where he worked closely with WA Premier Mark McGowan. Patrick is particularly proud of the fact that the 2017 WA State Election saw a record number of women elected to Western Australia’s Parliament.
Living in the Perth electorate, Patrick knows that the Turnbull Liberals have treated WA like a cash cow. They have taken WA’s entrepreneurial spirit, drive and sense of fairness for granted.
Malcolm Turnbull has failed Perth on the NBN, he has failed Perth on school funding and he has failed Perth on a fair deal on the GST.
As part of Bill Shorten’s united Labor team, Patrick Gorman will deliver a fair go for WA.
